That man with the orange tie conducting the audience with "Hup Holland Hup" was hilarious. The concert was gorgeous as usual. I spotted in the audience: Chris and Siggy, Laurie, Ruth, Sonja, Ruud, and Richard and Linda Oswick (UK) kissing each other!InekeHollandhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17985839922162705710noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4683592745518422511.post-59474755937579283572010-08-22T06:36:00.630-07:002010-08-22T06:36:00.630-07:00ha ha, clever idea Sue !
well, I recorded it, and ...ha ha, clever idea Sue !
well, I recorded it, and intended uploading my personal favourite clips on youtube. All I succeeded in doing was crashing my computer, so I now have one very irate husband.

best bits ? the very beginning.. Andre and Pierre, clinging hands, it was like 'Dad, I have to let you go in a second, you have to go on stage, all will be OK'.. a split second later the music starts (76 trombones of course) Andre's face changes, from a slight trepidation, to ' YES, I am ready now' the time has come, its all going to be great.. and so it was.
the interaction between father and son was truly wonderful to see.
Nice programme ; I was there in reality (lucky me). the usual hard focus on 'certain members of the audiance'.. maybe slightly too much for my liking.. some sightings of 'us' fans.
no waltzes apart from 'Swartze Augen', they cut out the Danube. loved the 'African Dream'.. Mirusia singing 'Memory'. lot of audiance interaction & singalongs.
YES, buy the DVD when its released, it will be quite different from anything else we have. And, if you are ever in a position to get to Maastricht for the concerts, GO.
ADELEAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
