André At The Portland Oregon Concert
Hi Everyone, We just got back to Boise from the Portland concert late this afternoon. It was fabulous in every way! We'll write more soon and send pictures - got some pretty good ones for having just a small
camera. It was pretty much like the US spring tour, but minus Carmen, and it all seemed fresh.
They got a lot of standing ovations, the ones I remember most specifically were Torna a Surriento, Wishing you were somehow here again, and Bolero.
Here's a little preview ~ I'll try to get the story together within a week or so. ~ Chris T
If you had a little camera, then that means you didn't have any Zoom to speak of ~ you must have had VERY CLOSE seats Chris!!! :-)
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to hear your report and see more of your pictures ~ Sue :)
Hi Sue: No, actually Susan and I talked our way down to the floor section during the encores ;-). At first it was impossible to get down there unless your ticket showed that you had seats there. At the end, after a few songs into the encores, the usher finally said: "oh, go ahead" and waved us on in. !!!

How lucky for you!!! :)
ReplyDeleteI know a lot of the venues won't let you down on the floor without a ticket. Chicago is the only concert that I've been to that I wasn't on the floor and luck have it, they DO let you down on the floor without a ticket! ~ I was SO happy!!
Looking forward to your report and pictures ... Sue :)
Hi Chris, Thanks for the little preview, I'll be watching for more! Eileen
ReplyDeleteHi Chris. It was great to meet you at the Red Robin in Portland. I wish we could have talked longer. I loved the concert. I still have not come down to earth yet. I will be looking forward to your pictures and article. Best wishes. Marilyn Smith
ReplyDeleteGood pictures, Chris.
ReplyDeleteI had my "big" camera with me for the Vancouver concert but with the background over-birght lighting, I didn't get any pictures as crisp as yours. I have a very good one of Tanja though, she's beauuuutiful. But then, I'm grateful that we're permitted to stand near them at the encores. Nothing to complain! See you in Toronto!
I'm so glad they allow cameras during their concerts! Pretty uncommon for most events. I've really enjoyed pouring over my pictures often to re-live the fun that we had, and I've been drawn in to the excitement by reading other peoples' concert experiences, too. I hope that policy doesn't change.
