Photo Show Of Last Nights Concert in Kansas City!

Kansas City Concert ~ April 18, 2008

It seems the concert in Kansas City was a lot different than
the one in Chicago. In Chicago he played the Glenn Miller Medley
during the encores with the André Sisters, not so in Kansas City.
He also played the Song of The Volga in Chicago, but not in Kansas City.
He played Amazing Grace in Kansas City, but not in Chicago.

In Chicago he had a new girl, Donij that he introduced and she sang a
beautiful solo. She was at the Kansas City concert, but didn't sing a solo.
So it's anybody's guess what the concert will be that you're going to!
Whatever it is, you know it will be Beautiful!!

You can see the new soloist that André introduced in Chicago in
the pictures here with Bela ... she's so pretty and a beautiful voice!

  1. Thank you for creating that great photoshow to share, John. I really enjoyed it.
Now that there's so much excitement in Australia and my time at the computer is limited, I don't get to visit over here as much as I did before.
    Cheers
    Bernadette.

  3. Hi John and Bobbie!
I loved your photoshow! I saw the sopranos Mirusia, Kalki Schrijvers and a new girl. Did Andre mention her name? Was Laura Engel in the choir?? I heard in between the USA tours, in the first half of May,he'll fly to Australia for a promotional tour together with Mirusia. Wow, all that jet lags must be exhausting.

  4. Hello Ineke,

Yes, Laura Engel was in the choir for the Chicago concert. You can see some photos of her here:

Yes, André told us the name of his new soloist, but I'm sorry to say I didn't hear it well enough to remember it. He did say that she recently completed her music studies with highest honors. You have seen her in the choir during last summer's Vienna and Efteling concert. As a soloist in Chicago she sang "Vilia" from The Merry Widow.

Thank you Ineke and Ruud for all the wonderful information, films, and translations you share with us. We appreciate your work SO MUCH!

  5. Hello John & Bobbie,

Thank you for sharing your wonderful photos with us. I can't wait to hear all about it when you get back home to California!

Ineke, I wonder if they know what day it is or where they are when they travel so far in such a short period of time. My daughter would LOVE to have his frequent flyer miles!!!

  6. Hi Kay,

When we were in Atlantic City last year at their concert there, I went outside at the hotel to get some fresh air and Nadejda was there. We talked for quite awhile and one of the things she said was that ... many nights on tour, she doesn't know what city she is in until André announces it on stage at the concert. She laughed and said, André will say, he's so happy to be in Denver and she'll think, Oh that's where we are!! :)
