The Dutch born musician and his Johann Strauss Orchestra will tour Australia and Europe through February, and then launch North American dates April 17 in Toronto. The US/Canadian trek is scheduled to visit 35 venues from coast to coast through late June. Confirmed cities are listed below, but most of the venues have yet to be announced. Further information and details about overseas dates can be found at Rieu's website.

With the help of PBS, Rieu has become one of the best-selling classical artists in the US. More than a dozen of his CDs have topped Billboard's Top Classical Albums chart, his DVDs have garnered multi-platinum status and his tours have landed in the Top 5 of Pollstar magazine's list of top tours, according to a press release.

Rieu's latest album, "Ich Tanze mit Dir in Den Himmel Hinein" ("Dancing Through the Skies"), is scheduled for a Nov. 11 release in the US. The German language recording, teams the violinist with Australian opera singer Mirusia, who won the prestigious Dame Joan Sutherland Opera Award at the tender age of 19, according to Rieu's website.
