André Rieu Postage Stamps On Sale July 13th!

A series of Postage Stamps featuring André Rieu will become available this summer.TNT Post (Dutch Postal System) publishes stamp booklets with images of a well known Dutchman a few times a year. Artists like Frans Bauer and Herman van Veen have already preceeded André Rieu.

The Booklets contain nine André Rieu stamps will go on sale July 13th at a cost of 10.00 Euro's each and are being printed by a company in Venlo. A total of 25,000 will be made available ...

    Would it be possible for us here in USA to purchase any of these stamps from the Dutch Postal System? Even though we could not use them here, it would be a nice memento to have.

    I'm sure Andre Rieu fans will buy some when in Maastricht for the concerts at the Vrijthof. I think I will!

    Hi folks,
    There is a post office close to the Vrijthof Square, so... if you want to have stamps, please ask any Maastricht goer you know, to buy them and to send them to you in the USA!! You cannot use them there for postal services, just for souvenir.

    I'm planning to get to the post office in Maastricht very early on the 13th. They'll probably sell out fast. I don't think it's coincidental that they're being released during his concerts on the Vrijthof! I hope there are still some left for the Dutch people to actually use after the fans buy them. ~Kay
