André Rieu Back at Work Filming on Mainau

Summer Barbecue in Mainau With André and JSO

We don't usually post photos from André's site, but this is special. What we've all been waiting for ... photos of André back at work and looking well again!!
We went back to the flower island Mainau to do some television recordings. It was such a joy to see everybody again after our summer holidays! And as you can see, our new concert season started off still in summer holiday style. Andre had a wonderful surprise for us: a barbecue at the waterfront for the whole orchestra and choir!

    How wonderful that Andre is recovered. Must have been a scary time for him . . . and his family.
    From the pictures, he hasn't lessened his talents for perfectionism.

    I can't tell how well André has recovered, but he seemed to be relatively "quiet" (usually he appeared to be more of a talker than a listener??) but it's good to see he has not lost weight due to illness :)

    So he looks so well then and yet he cancels the UK and Ireland tour because of ill health giving only 2
    days notice.Thats not on. What about the cancellation of the Vienna concert in July. No reason given.Thats not on. Costing his loyal fans a awful lot of money.
