André Rieu My Life Subsequent To The Virus
He lost his balance ~ Two tours were canceled. But the star violinist fought back ...
Maastricht: His fans have been very concerned. "Waltz king" André Rieu (61) had to cancel two International Tours due to an ominous disease. But he is back again ... his life subsequent the virus drama.
Six performances were scheduled for Fall by the Dutchman in England and Northern Ireland. And a string of twelve for Australia and New Zealand. There were speculations about his illness. And now "Super Illu" visited him in his 300 year old castle near Maastricht. He insisted: "I'm fine, and I am making huge progress."
In August, the Star Violinist lost his sense of balance. Rieu said: "I almost fell over in a supermarket. I was dizzy and blacked out. The diagnoses, a viral infection that led to the loss of balance".
Doctors prescribed lots of rest and absolutely no stress. Surrounded by his family (wife Marjorie, sons, Pierre and Marc, and grandchildren), he is now recovering. His daily routine is, walking the dogs, treadmill exercises and eating healthy foods to ensure a speedy recovery.
The disease will definitely leave an after effect ~ a financial one. Despite the cancellations of his tours, the salary of the 120 musicians of Rieu's Johann Strauss Orchestra will continue to be paid. Rieu, "But we can overcome that."
The "Waltz King" has extended his two-month long forced break by another four weeks just to be sure. But he promised, "On November 18th I will again be on stage in Antwerp.“ His tour in Germany with concerts in Erfurt, Leipzig and Magdeburg are not in danger. Then André Rieu will let his Stradivarius glow again and melt away his public
