USA Memorial Day 2011

      
It is Memorial Day Weekend here in the US and I thought the fans that don't know about Margraten would find this interesting to read about. The pictures here were taken by (and of) Suzy in Margraten today. It's her "Adopted" Gravesite that her parents adopted after the war and now that her parents have passed, she now carries on the tradition. The Inscription on The Cross Reads:
HERE RESTS IN HONORED GLORY
A COMRADE IN ARMS
KNOWN BUT TO GOD

    Thank you Suzy and Sue for sharing this. The video is very moving. I plan to visit Margraten in July while I'm in Maastricht....a definite must-see.

    Suzy & Sue,Thankyou this is such a beautiful video.My family & I were
    so taken with this article & video.
    Our Uncle is Laid to Rest,in the
    Milsbeek War Cemetery in Limburg.
    He lost his life after the RAF Halifax Aircraft,in which he was navigator,came down in September 1944.He is laid to rest in a tranquil place so far from home. (Western.Australia)
