André Rieu Snags Andrea Bocelli For The Vrijthof
Shows
The Italian-Belgian Rocco Granata (of Marina, Buona Note Bambino fame) will also be present in Maastricht. The Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli, who became blind after an accident, is especially known for Italian songs such as "Time to say Good-Bye, (Con te Partiro), Vivo per Lei and Because We Believe, met with Marco Borsato. The theme of the anniversary series of the annual concerts will be Italian, hence the choice of artists. The theme also suits the new CD Rieu is now recording, consisting of Italian songs. It is still unclear which artists will appear and when. The concerts take place on July 11, 12, 18 19 and 20.

well that will be wonderful if it really happens. Not sure what Zucchero has to do with Il Volo ( 3 young guys who came together on an Italian talent show we always watch) . Zucchero, always famous in Italy, became super famous when he composed and sang ' Miserie' with Pavarotti many years ago . Adele - Italy
ReplyDeleteSo fantastic! But the concerts are also July 4,5, and 6 - not sure why the article does not say that. Unless they are already sold out, - very possible. Thanks,

Yes, Adele, Il Volo is 3 young guys, I have seen them on PBS and they are not of the level of Bocelli, just my opinion! ;-)

Unfortunately, but yet happy, I am going to watch the concert in the Cinema. As I was watching this video, I heard André rehearse a song called 'Dromen zijn bedrog'. In the Netherlands it is known as sung by Marco Borsato. He is one of our greatest singers. So now I think maybe Marco Borsato will be one of the guest artists too. Furthermore it is most likely we will see and hear Amira Willighagen. We will see.

Please say he's also there on the 4th.
ReplyDeleteIl volo è una canzone italiana, da Zucchero.
ReplyDeleteNon ogni "Volo" è lo stesso!
Il volo is an italian song by Zucchero....
Saluti dall'Olanda!
