ANDRE Rieu is one of the world's most popular violinists, and it costs $5m to put on each of his Aussie concerts. But he says he's not in it for the money.
How much of your show do you source locally?
The horses are from Australia, because there are severe laws here that you can not bring strange horses in. The ice skaters are also from here, and they are fantastic.
How difficult it is to put on such a big production?
You should ask my son (Pierre). I had the idea and he did it. Of course it's difficult and a lot of organisation is required. There are 220 containers, and now it is here.
