whats this about 'fanclub' ?(on the ticketmaster site) André has not got a fan club, always said he does not want a fan club. Adele
ReplyDeleteThat was the first thing I noticed too Adele! That was quite awhile ago he said that though and his opinion of Fanclubs has probably changed. He thought of Fanclubs as selling product and making money etc. and that's not what they are really ... Sue :)
ReplyDeleteUncle Charlie asked me a few times what date is Toronto concert, I have no plans yet as I really don't have that many days off, but I checked to see if there are good seats for my aunt and cousins.... not too good, so I'll wait...who knows..maybe we'll all pop up again!

This is interesting as Andre seems to be trying sales in new ways. However, WNED (Buffalo PBS) has been taking pledges since December and it looks like the "good" seats are sold out. They are fantastic promoters and Toronto is Andre's strongest base in North America. Because Buffalo is in the U.S., they are never given the whole hall to sell - just the best seats.
ReplyDeleteI checked out several categories and it appears that "The Amdre Rieu Experience" package (Rows 1 & 2) has sold quite a few tickets. The Waltz Package (Rows 2-5)had nothing available, though that category may go on sale today (2/5) at 10 a.m., (along with the fan club sale!!!.) I was able to get in with the code "Violin".
All very interesting.
