THE "STAAR" TO PEFORM AGAIN WITH RIEU

March 21, de Limburger: The Mastreechter Staar is again invited to participate in the series of concerts on the Vrijthof with André Rieu.

In 2008, the Staar also performed on stage with Rieu. That according to baritone Louis Steen's was not only an "enormous" experience for the choir, but also for the public. It was really an unforgettable experience. Four years ago the Staar choir members entered the square on their way to the stage with the torches. They sang amongst others "the Legend of the twelve thieves" and also some modern works. 

Rieu, who is currently ill, has planned four concerts for the end of June on the Vrijthof. This will be the eighth consecutive year that he and his orchestra will perform on the square.
