"Au Revoir" To Our Good Aussie Friend Jann ...

Jann, who was such a big part of working with me on the Harmony Parlor in it's earlier days with her Aussie Fansite has passed away today. She was a very special friend that will be missed by so many.
Through her Fansite, she started the André Rieu Friendship Groups in Australia, something she was very proud of. Because of her, so many André Fans have made lifelong friendships. And because of her, so many of us got to know each other through her Aussie Fansite. She made the world a little smaller ...
She had to give up doing the Aussie site when her husband became ill. She lost Murray last October. And now today due to a car accident while vacationing in France, we have lost her. She was a good friend, and I for one will miss her terribly, as I know many of you will  ... Good Bye Dear Friend ..............  Snuggles xxx
The Below Message is From Jann's Daughter Rebecca
I am sorry I can not speak much right now. But it should be known that through organ donarship, Mum (Jann) has managed to save 4 other peoples lives. Even in her death her generosity has been able to touch others ...

  5. I am always in shock and I pay tribute to this lovely lady who has just given us a wonderful lesson of life: to give a second chance through organ donation. Jann, I signed my donor card for many years now and I hope that your gesture could show to people of the importance of expressing this will.Today, for four French and their families you are heroic tday for me you are a great, great Lady. Love

Words cannot express my admiration for Rebecca. What a brave young lady to carry out her Mother's wishes for organ donation during such an emotional time. I just hope that she and her family continue to be strong and know how many people around the world are grieving with her. Much love.

  9. It is such sad and tragic news. I met Jann (as well as the lovely Val & Berys) in May 2009 at the cafe in Knox for the first get together of what would become the Vic.Andre Rieu Group. I had previously communicated with Jann by email and was very pleased to finally meet her in person.
My deepest sympathy to Rebecca & Isabella at this time. My thoughts & good wishes are with you both. Jann will be sorely missed.Love Heather Rankin, Melbourne.Victoria

  10. Everything happened too fast! Sat morning we thought she's awake from the coma with no brain damage, after seeing Andre again in cinema Sat night, we heard the truth was she's still in coma...I had to finish my "cinema report" but it was sooo hard for Sue to work on anything. Still, she did a great job in putting together the pics as usual. Those who have been a regular visitor of the Parlor for some years might remember the hugging bears (Sue and Jann) looked forward to meeting each other in Maastricht 2009. I think this is the most difficult news for Sue to post ever since The Parlor was born. We all love and will miss Jann but I hope my dear Sunshine and Rebecca will take it easy and take care.

  11. So sorry to hear the dreaded news.
For those newer viewers, Sue and Jann worked tirelessly together and produced wonderful, delightful items for the Parlor and the Aussie website. Often pulling all-nighters.
Jann also did so much to promote Andre in Australia and worked closely with the Rieu's in many aspects of his tours.
My deepest sympathy to Rebecca and Isabella.

How we all will miss her.

  12. My condolences to Rebecca. I met your Mum numerous amounts of time and she was a very lovely lady and it always brought a smile to my face to see her in the crowd or at the many events, especially when Andre and I did the promotion in Australia. Rest in Peace Jann.
    With love and deepest sympathy,
    Mirusia.
