André Rieu Offers Metal "Christmas Trees" With Lights

Telegraaf, 14 Nov. 2020 in ENTERTAINMENT

The production team of violinist André Rieu will be offering large metal "Christmas trees" with lights to companies and municipalities in the coming weeks.

“We have 1,300 tons (26,000lbs) of huge scaffolding and scaffolds which are now being stored unused,” explains his son and spokesman Pierre Rieu on Friday. “We can use that to build large 'Christmas trees' of 25 meters high and provide them with lots of lights. Just think about the transmission tower in Lopik, which is decorated with lights every December. ” The lights can be supplied in various colors.

The Christmas trees will be offered through the website Pieceofsteel.com next week. The team which normally takes care of André Rieu's stages will come to decorate and tear down the "trees".

Finances

Just like all companies in the events business, André Rieu Productions also has had a difficult year financially because almost all concerts and performances have been canceled since March. Rieu agrees in his annual financial report that the uncertainty will also remain in 2021.

There are more artists who come up with creative solutions to earn some money. Various Dutch musical actors who have not been able to perform for months due to the corona crisis, will be selling personalized musical Christmas wishes in the coming weeks. They do this under the name "My Merry Music Message."
