Billboards Top Touring Acts of 2010 André Rieu #16
André Rieu has become the most consistently strong classical-genre artist ever, this year reporting $40 million in grosses and 444,000 tickets sold to 86 shows. "We are convinced that André Rieu has become part of the top touring artists and that his popularity will only increase for the coming years," says Roel van Veggel, who is CFO and concert tour director for Rieu.
"In this respect, we are continuously working on creating a bigger [touring] world by opening up new markets, as we did in 2010 with South Africa and Mexico," he says. "In this way we create André's dream of opening classical music for a broad audience worldwide."

Congratulations on being number 16 of the top touring acts Andre. My son delivers prescription drugs to a retirement home , one of the ladies there is 96 years old and my son told her he was going to see an Andre Rieu concert on Sunday, she told him that she saw one of your concerts a few years ago and it was absolutely beautiful and one of the best concerts she has ever seen and she told him he was in for one of the best times of his life as Andre's concerts is just fantastic. This will be our very first concert so now you will have 4 new fans. Your like a drug Andre you are addicting. Love you blue eyes. Barb.
