Rieu To Be Present at His Christmas Premiere in Heerlen
The international premiere of the Christmas special by André Rieu will this year be held in Heerlen.
On Saturday, November 24th the show will premier at the Cinema Royal in Heerlen. André Rieu himself will also be present. Prior to the show, at 17:30, he will answer questions from the audience. At that same moment the special "Home for Christmas" will simultaneous be shown in 175 other cinemas. This will be accomplished via a satellite link. The show can be viewed in countries like the Netherlands, Belgium, England and Iceland.
The film depicts Rieu at home with his family celebrating Christmas. He and his orchestra play 26 classical Christmas songs. The recordings were made in his own winter like garden and the St. Peter's church in Maastricht.
The Mastreechter Staar assisted in this special, as well as the children's choir "Sjamaes" along with the 10-year old ballerina, Rosa.

That's so cool, I only wonder... why on earth did they choose Heerlen? It's not exactly a uhm... beacon of culture, let's put it like that. But as long as André hangs on to his wallet, there is no reason this should not be a wonderful evening. Thanks for posting! xx Wendy Lain
Andre's "Home For Christmas" DVD is one of his best. For anyone who loves Andre and JSO and Christmas, this DVD is a MUST have.
