Boys Playing in The Fountain on The Vrijthof to Cool Off
Pictures of Day Three... It was another warm sunny summer day in Maastricht today and so many little things going on all over the city. Here's the link to the pictures of just a few of those things Betty and I saw ... I'm too tired tonight to post all of them, but these give you an idea how things are going on the Vrijthof now ... it's amazing how fast they work and how organized they are!!! We were here early last year to watch them, but it still amazes us how fast they get it all up! A lot more trucks pulled up tonight with all the lighting structure and I'm sure we'll see those go up on Sunday.

Your pictures are super, Sue. Really gives us a feel for what is going on. The best part is no rain! They sure have the set-up for Rieu weekend down to a science, don't they?
I've been watching the Capitol (D.C.) spectacular tonight, the Macy's fireworks and music display and now the Boston Pops. They just played America The Beautiful with everyone singing and waving flags. The first two had 76 Trombones and The Stars and Stripes Forever at all three. Brought back the joys of JSO's concerts.
Thanks again,
Laurie
Very nice pictures, Sue. We appreciate your daily updates. Almost(not quite)like being there with you!

We're in Copenhagen now after delayed and cancelled flights, lost luggage, etc., but all worked out and we made it this far. We almost ended up on the same flight as Ruth, Jim, John & Bobbie. Can't post on the guestbook until I figure out how to use the Danish keyboard! Didn't bring a laptop...have to rely on hotel computers. We'll be leaving tomorrow night for Amsterdam then on to the Efteling before arriving in Maastricht on Thursday afternoon. Can't wait to see you all there, especially after seeing the pictures!
