So this is the Aussie release, but will it have a European release at the same time, I see there is cover art on the advert, but neither Amazon.co.uk, nor Amazon.de or even Andre's site yet show it!
May have to order the Australian copy to get it 'quick' ! :-)
Have to be very careful of region coding (PAL, NTSC 0, etc.) before ordering from anyone. Saw Maastricht V at Cinema and it was a
GREAT concert!!
Blu Ray (if avail) should be Ok though... I hope
I have seen many comments in various places from people in the US about having problems with DVDs that they had received. All the Andre Rieu DVDs that I have bought in Australia have always been labelled "Region 0" which means "All Regions" i.e. they are not restricted to any region. The most common problem is with the PAL format. The answer is that a reasonably modern standard DVD player in the US will be capable of playing both the NTSC and the PAL format. I have seen that confirmed by people posting that they had overcome their problem by buying a new DVD player. But some people in the US have also had problems with importers in the US reselling European - Region 2 DVDs.

Further to my previous long post. For additional information people can google "dvd region codes wikipedia"
On another subject, I am still hoping that Andre will also release a DVD of his last concerts in Australia. I think that many people would buy that DVD because of the reunion appearance of the "Seekers" .

I agree about the Australia concert featuring the Seekers. The last DVD from Ovation Shop in Australia said it was for "All Regions" but also stated it was PAL format-wouldn't play on my USA equipment. However, it did play on
my Toshiba laptop so all was not lost.Ovation Shop never responded to my query about that DVD.
@ G.M. Bourret. I am curious about which DVD you had a problem with. I have bought many Andre Rieu DVDs. I buy mine in in a shop (JB HiFi) which is similar to "Best Buys" in the US. The only DVD I did ever have a problem with was "Andre Rieu at Schönbrunn, Vienna". I could not get it to start playing on my SONY DVD player. A second and third copy were the same. Yet they would play on my Samsung Blu Ray player. And yes, it was a DVD and not a Blu Ray disk which is also available.

Many fans in the UK and Europe too would go nuts for the DVD with THE SEEKERS reunion with Andre!
Francine.
Peter- Always and Forever DVD was the last one where region coding was a problem. Also had similar problem with Maastricht II DVD. Actually bought an ALL REGION DVD player but picture quality was fairly poor so I returned that DVD player. Have a pretty extensive collection of Andre/JSO DVD's.
Regards,
I would love to see the Australian concert with the Seekers reunion - they were one of my favourite groups
