The stage was too small for the entire orchestra!!! The funny thing was that Ruud and I attended our first Andre concert in that same theatre in 1995 13 years ago! At that time the orchestra was much smaller and Andre still performed in small theatres. Nowadays it was hard to get all orchestra members on!!

After the show we walked on with Franco Vulcano and Ronald Gerards to our parking garage. Franco had hurt his leg, he walked kind of crippled. Franco said he loved the show in such a small theatre, for he could see the audience. In the bigger productions we can see them on the big screens, but they cannot see anybody in the audience.
These are pictures of the nice small theatre, called CARRÈ in Amsterdam where we saw the show. The river is the river Amstel, where the city of Amsterdam got her name from (it started as a dam in the Amstel). The cute wooden bridge is called "Magere brug" which means the thin, or lean bridge. ~ Ineke

Great report, Ineke. Was this the program where you could ask questions? Or did the mini-concert and interview take up all the time? I recognize five of you and you all look great! Must have been fun to be up close.

Hi Laurie,
In the newspaper was an article about this show, which mentioned that fans could ask questions. But that never happened!! What a pity!!
On March 28 is a TV broadcast (the TROS TV show) which shows a portrait of Andre. Ivo Niehe is the interviewer and maybe we'll see some flashes of the mini concert in Carre. Keep an eye on our website!!!

Hi Ineke, We really look forward to watching the TV broadcast. All of you look great in the photo. I hope the TV show catches clips of you. How close were you sitting to the stage? It looks like Frank was up front doing a special piece with his violin – that’s something I’d love to see! Thanks once again for taking us with you on one of your adventures!

The stage of the Carre theatre was too small. The orchestra members all sat in a different setting. We were on the 2nd and 3rd row from the stage. Thea, Monique and Janny did the conga line, which is not usual at all in this theatre, without special Andre public... Coming in front of Andre, Monique said: "Hi Maestro" and they moved on. The orchestra members had fun!!
I'm curious what will be in the Tros TV show......
Ineke.
