Letter by Jann from Aussie Fans of André
After much liaising with Telstra Dome, my daughter Rebecca, who is a hobby photographer, was granted a Media Pass to capture the day's events as they unfolded on camera. This also included being present at the Press Conference prior to André and Mirusia entering the Arena itself. Initially daunted by being thrown amongst the "pro's" from the TV Channels and Paper's with their paparazzi camera's etc, and introduced as the photographer from the "website", many of them welcomed the opportunity to ask questions, although not a fan herself, Bec was able to answer most of them. When it comes to getting a particular photo, my daughter has no shame - she obligingly crawled on hands and knees to get from one side of the room to another to seize the opportunity, this brought laughter from Mirusia and a bemused look from Kerstin, from there she perched herself atop chairs and so on. She didn't go unnoticed. You can only imagine my frustration even though I had been allocated a front row seat, sitting there watching Bec having the freedom to go where ever she chose, standing out in the Arena chatting away with Pierre and Kerstin and only a foot away from André and Mirusia - hmmph.

What a great photoshow! Thanks to all who made it happen. Special thanks to Beccy, Jann's daughter, who got up close and personal to get some great shots.
These photos are 1st class for a hobby. Thanks Jann for sharing them and Sue for posting them.

Wow this is great! Thank you Jann and Becky and Sue. What a treat!

Rebecca, These are such fun pictures! You got some great ones of both Andre and Mirusia. I don't think I've seen a bad picture of her. You know, we're all jealous that you got the press pass status to mingle with Andre's entourage;-). You got an especially great one of Pierre, and Mirusia's shoes - that was brilliant! Ha, ha, I was actually wondering what they looked like; who would have thought to capture that! I love the pictures that are different than everyone else snapped. I wonder if Mirusia went shopping and chose her promotional tour wardrobe herself, or if Andre selected the dresses (and shoes)? Maybe Rebecca can ask that at the NEXT press conference she gets to attend! After all, we know that Andre chose/designed all the gowns the women in his orchestra wear. ~Chris T.
Hi Chris T.
I'm surprised my daughter didn't get more pics of Pierre, they were sharing a few cosy chats out there in the middle of the Arena, not that I'm jealous or anything !!!
Rebecca is quite "chuffed" at the compliments that have been coming in. It was a great experience for her and she was well looked after by both the staff at Telstra Dome and the Rieu staff.
Hi Jann, I also have a (single) daughter about Rebecca's age. I think I would have skipped a heartbeat or two if I were to see her chatting it up with Pierre, too! As far as getting more pictures of him...perhaps the conversation was more enjoyable and memorable than a few more shots - hmmm??? We're all glad she was able to work her craft in that experience and share her unique perspective with us! ~Chris T.
Hi Jann,
I loved to see your daughter's photoshow!!! Pierre looked like a Greec God! And what a fun to take Mirusia's shoes close up! Typically the interest of a female photographer and..... of us of course!! Jann, I saw you!! Thanks for marking your name. I'd wish Andre changed spectacles for I don't like his brown one.
Love to you all.
From Holland with love.
Ineke.
