Above you see Mario putting Banners in The Windows All Around The Vrijthof. He Was Waving To Us On The Way Up and I wanted to get a picture of it, so he waved again and posed for the camera. :) It's very impressive when they get all the banners up!! We noticed our hotel had no André Banners. Last year the hotel had 4 André Banners hanging from the fourth floor and we did not interfere with them, because we hung our banners from the third floor. As soon as Ruud saw Mario on the square, he asked why there were no André Banners on the hotel and Mario said he could not enter the rooms because they were occupied at the time he wanted to put them up. So Ruud said, if you give us four banners, we'll fix them for you. The next day the receptionist told Ineke and Ruud that Mario had brought four banners!! So Ruud fixed them in the rooms from the fourth floor for them!
And here are pics of the results of all Ineke's hard work! André would always look up to the 3rd and 4th floors to smile and wave to us on his way to the Concert on the Vrijthof. On Saturday night, after we had used "Carboard André" for the Fan Dinner, we put him in our window so he was looking down at all the people below. I can't tell you how many people were taking pictures of him, and on Saturday night when André went by on his way to the concert, he looked up and gave a BIG smile and wave when he saw himself looking back at him from the window! :)

Hi Sue,
Very nice story about Mario and the banners. A few years ago at one of the concerts I attended, (don't remeber where it was, Cleveland maybe) I spoke with Mario on an elevator, not realizing for some time later who he was and what his connection to Andre was!

Lovely story about the banners, Mario and the cardboard cut-out of Andre, Sue.They are also great pics.I love the one of Andre waving up to you all.
There's no doubt that Andre fully appreciates the hard work and promotion for him that is done by such generous, dedicated fans.
Ineke's banners are just amazing.
Cheers
Bernadette
Wow Sue, you are really working day and night on the new items for the Harmony Parlor.
But we love it!! We are specialized in the video clips and interviews and there is more to come on our website, but we admire your work on the Parlor.
Love,
Ineke.
Sue ,
Great story about the banners. Inekes were beautiful, as usual....but I was in one of those 4th floor rooms & we wondered where the banners were, that we had last year. The front of the DuCasque looked empty without them. Had we have known...Mario could have put them in place, anytime.
I know that Andre looked up every nite to wave & acknowledge all of his fans watching from their hotel windows.( & also cardboard Andre)

That's interesting, I didn't know that those other banners weren't there all the time. Sue, you could have just let Mario in, couldn't you? ;-) And what a great feeling to have Andre wave up at you as he passed each time! Ineke, are you planning what to say on next year's banners already?
Our door is Always open Chris ~ Mario was WELCOME to come in our room!!! ;-)
I'm not yet thinking of new slogans for next year. I intend to start with that in the New Year 2010, after the Cologne concert.
But suggestions from the fans are always very welcome. I collect them and save them for next year.
Short sentences please!
Ineke.
