Still going through pictures cropping and sizing them, but here's another I wanted to post now ... I came across this one and it struck me ... what a perfect example of the amazing time we have there.
My brain is still somewhere between Maastricht and California, so writing anything intelligent in length before it arrives here is out of the question ... there are little things that come to mind though and this picture brought back one of them.
We were all sitting at McTiffany's having our morning hot chocolate and Frank walked over and started talking to us ... as if it were just the most normal thing to do. No picture taking, no autographs, just a nice visit and chat. What a sweet guy he is ...It was cute ... a woman and her little boy of about 12 came over and asked for a picture with Frank and her son. Frank handed his crutches to Mary Ann to hold while they took the picture. :)
He said his leg feels fine, but of course it has slowed him down as far as the carillon playing goes ... Climbing Church Towers isn't in his agenda right now. But he also said that's a good thing in a way ... he needed to slow down as he was doing too much. So this time will give him that much needed rest. He sure gets all around on those crutches though!! They don't seem to slow him down as far as walking all over! :)
One other thing ... I asked him if we got the story right on the Parlor and he smiled and said, "you got it right." He also said that where he lives has the cobblestones like in the streets of Maastricht, only where he lives they are set in sand, not concrete ... so when he came down hard on it with his foot, it twisted.
We wish him all the best and thank him for the nice visit he shared with us ... (Alice sent the picture. We didn't even know you took it, but thank you for taking it so we have the picture to remember it by Alice! :)

Originally I wondered if it's nicer to ask Frank if I could take a picture of all of you but then I thought maybe I'd just take one with Frank talking to "us" in such friendly and cozy atmosphere, an example of a friendly encounter with JSO in Maastricht. Sue, glad you liked it!
I'm so glad you took it Alice!
And didn't Frank say when you walked up, now we're all here
or something like that?
They know us better than we think they do!! :))
You're right, Sue. It was very nice to see Frank and when he turned around and saw me, he said "(Ahh!)Everyone's here!" as if he knows us well. Remember at the dress rehearsal, when we saw him coming out to the stage on his crutches, I was so touched and almost cried!
What a special moment! Thanks for sharing it with us.
What sweet memories for you all. Sue and Alice, when I looked at the photo with attention .... I saw an another great lady who leaved us all too.Jane and MaryAnn on the same pic it's so special. Thanks Alice for made this shot and Sue for share it with the short story.
How would I ever have thought that in a few years time, two of our very dear friends would no longer be there, but glad we had something to look back. As Frank said, "Everyone's here!"
