I do hope everyone who is part of this big Christmas tour - audiences, fans and all who come into contact with him and the JSO - will be taking extreme care of Andre so that he doesn't overdo things on his return to work after his illness! Please try not to be too demanding as we all love him so very much.
Wishing great enjoyment to all those with tickets.
Gill.....How in the world can we , the fans, be too demanding ? The whole tour is a very demanding one.
I personally am looking forward to seeing a Christmas concert! With our weather on the East coast, they do not normally tour in December.

I just hope he is not taking on too much too soon. His first concert after being sick is on the 15th November in Antwerp. I thought he might have waited to see how he felt after that.
Fans can be very demanding indeed. I'm not talking about the concerts, where enthusiasm is welcomed, but more about the rest of the time. Pierre spoke about the need to cut back on other appearances which have nothing to do with the work of the orchestra, and it was this that I had in mind.
Hi Gill, I am concerned about Andre doing such a strenuous tour, also. 4 (sold-out) concerts in Mexico City and I think there is more stress in a new place. Then to AZ, NV, CA, WA and Vancouver, BC. Then three in Florida and Toronto. He's been to Toronto several times before in December . . . but all that travel!!! I remember the last west coast tour, he commented on what a long flight it is and that was in June.
After a concert, Andre is "off-duty" and we fans don't see him, even if we are in the same hotel, so I am not concerned about us bothering him. He knows all the venues in this country and Toronto that he'll be going to, which I'm sure helps. But all that travel does concern me.
It will be great to see another concert and we may not get all the strenuous encores that he usually gives, but that's just fine. We just want to him to get well.
Looking forward to two in CA with friends.
