ANDRÉ RIEU CHRISTMAS DVD TO BE RELEASED IN NOVEMBER
The City Cave is one of the locations where André Rieu will make his recordings for his new Christmas DVD. It will take place in September and the DVD will be released in November.
Rieu is not an unknown in the City Cave. The reactions after his concert for Queen Beatrix in commemoration of the 125th anniversary of the VVV (Tourist Information Offices) were overwhelming. That's the reason Rieu's selected the City Cave for his background. The recordings will not be open to the public.

Ineke, Ruud and I took a partial tour of the caves. Absolutely amazing place.
I really hope they include The Holy City in the program. I heard the Platinum Tenors sing it in concert once, and it was brilliant.

Gosh i wish i could be there in The City Cave when Andre does his Christmas DVD, its my most favourite time of the year and i love Andre's Silent Night all his Christmas songs are so beautiful and totally fills your heart with joy. God i love that man and his music.
I agree, Barbara, I love all of André's music, but there is something so special about his Christmas music. Silent Night, The Holy City and White Christmas just make me melt!
PLEASE please can someone tell me the correct title for Andre's new Christmas 2011 DVD? I can't find it anywhere in the UK as I don't lmow its name. I can read all about it being made etc, Help!?

Andre's new Christmas special/DVD which was recorded near his castle will be released in 2012.I think the name will be "Home for Christmas". The Christmas DVD which is released now (Dec.2011) is the DVD from 1997 "the Christmas I love". It is a little bit confusing.....
I have looked on the german channel ZDF and the photos they show for the christmas show look lovely. I really want a copy of this show - it lasts for 2 hours. Any ideas when in 2012 it will be available. I hope we can get it for the UK/Europe market as American DVDs are in a different format for our DVD players. I am hoping that ZDF will be showing it live on their website

We donot think that ZDF will be showing this special of their website. We too saw the pictures and thought they were just fantastic. This will definately be a DVD to add to anyone's colloection. As soon as we know of the release date for this DVD we'll pass it on.
In the recent past, Andre has changes the format on his DVD's so that they can be read on all equipment whether it be in Europe or the US.

You Tube has 7 video clips which cover all of this programme - they are made by celebrationofmusic - just type André Rieu - Weihnachten bin ich zu Haus (I'm home for Christmas) in the You Tube search box - thats how I found them
